The online vaccine clinic registration system allows citizens to reserve a time to receive a vaccine at town-run vaccine clinics. Each registrant enters their contact and insurance information, selects the vaccine(s) they would like to receive, and answers a short pre-screenign questionnaire. At the end of the registration process, the registrant is assigned to a time slot and then prints out a pre-filled vaccine consent form, which they bring with them to the clinic.

This program is beneficial in a number of ways:

  1. Registrants are guarateed a vaccine via their assigned time slot, so they don’t need to worry about arriving early;
  2. As a result, long lines are avoided;
  3. Pre-printed consent forms eliminate the need for clients to fill out forms at the clinic, further speeding the process;
  4. The health department knows ahead of time how many vaccines they will be distributing and can better evaluate staffing needs.

The end result is a calm, smooth, and efficient process that has met with great success in a number of towns.
