COVID-19 Testing Procedure at Cape Cod Healthcare

Instructions for Getting COVID-19 Testing

If you are experiencing symptoms of coronavirus, please follow the below process to be screened for testing. COVID-19 testing is available to all individuals on Cape Cod and the Islands with a physician’s order and appointment for testing at one of our drive-through testing sites, located on the campuses of:

  • Cape Cod Hospital (please note: mid-Cape testing location transitioned from Cape Cod Community College to Cape Cod Hospital on July 24, 2020)
  • Falmouth Hospital

If you have a Cape Cod Healthcare primary care physician

  • Call your doctor, who will then screen you over the phone to assess if you should be tested.
  • If your doctor determines you should be tested, he or she will send an electronic order for testing directly to our testing team.
  • Cape Cod Healthcare staff will then call you with an appointment time for a drive-through test at your selected location.

If your primary care physician is not affiliated with Cape Cod Healthcare and/or not located on Cape Cod

  • Call your doctor for screening by phone.
  • If your doctor determines you should be tested, your physician should call our dedicated call center at 508-862-5595 for further direction, which will include the required forms to complete an electronic order for testing.
  • Once your physician has submitted an electronic order for testing, Cape Cod Healthcare staff will then call you with an appointment time for a drive-through test at your selected location.

If you do not have a primary care physician

  • Call our dedicated call center at 508-862-5595 to be screened for COVID-19 testing with a Cape Cod Healthcare clinical provider via phone.
  • If testing is required, the clinical provider will submit an electronic order for testing to our team.
  • Cape Cod Healthcare staff will then call you with an appointment time for your drive-through test.

Please note: the call center line is open Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm and closed on weekends.
