Apply For Health Coverage through the Health Connector

Massachusetts residents losing their jobs and job-based health coverage can swiftly and easily make their way into health coverage through the Health Connector. Please direct Massachusetts residents to www.mahealthconnector.org to apply for coverage. The ConnectorCare program connects qualifying Massachusetts residents with affordable health coverage with low or $0 premiums and low co-pays and no deductibles.

Please spread the word about the special enrollment period that runs through May 25 so we can ensure that everyone who has lost or may be about to lose job-based coverage can get the help they need. There are several tools to help you share this information with Massachusetts residents, associations, and communities:

  • A new webpage that includes all the information someone would need to get into coverage after having lost employment/employment-based coverage – including a detailed FAQ for people trying to understand their different coverage options (e.g., COBRA, Health Connector, etc.). You can find that webpage here: https://www.mahealthconnector.org/the-right-plan-right-now.

The Health Connector will continue to be in touch with its partners, members, and applicants as they develop additional resources and guidance for recently unemployed residents, including how recipients of Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation should report that income when they are applying for coverage.
